2022 Educator Awards

1/1

The Heroes of Education Educator Awards are part of our annual gala, to be held this year on:

Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 6:30pm ET

The gala will be held in person in NYC, safety permitting. In either case, a video of our program that honors all award winners will be made available online at the time above.

Each year, our annual event is a celebration in recognition of those who have improved the landscape of literature, literacy, and education through their work.

During our event program we will recognize the recipients of our two established annual awards: the John Graham Tucker Leadership award and the Book of the Year award. In 2021, we added a new award category, the Educator Awards, in order to shine a spotlight on the people who make such a difference in the daily lives of our students.

Please consider making a donation or sponsorship in support of our work and in recognition of the incredible people we are honoring this year. We thank all of those who nominated educators who have made a difference in the lives of students both throughout their careers and in spite of the challenges of the COVID pandemic which has drastically changed the lives of so many of our kids.

 You nominated YOUR education heroes.

This year we welcomed nominations for consideration for an "Educator Award" on behalf of an educator who has shown a deep commitment to students of any age group throughout their career and who has continued to foster learning despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are thrilled to announce this year's winners...

We considered an educator eligible for nomination to be anyone who works in a school or other educational setting that teaches, guides, and supports students. Teachers, administrators, and support staff who meet the nomination criteria are all eligible.

Our five Educator Award Honorees will receive:
*$500 cash-equivalent gift card grant*
*2 free tickets to attend our in-person gala (safety permitting)*
*Recognition in our virtual event, at our in-person gala, and in event journal*

Thank you to all who submitted.
